Job Title: Technical Order Program Manager
Reports To: Director of Program Management
Summary: Writes, rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creates artwork from engineering drawings, photographs, or other source material
- Performs artwork according to Military Specifications
- Prepares artwork to include halftones with strong attention to detail
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings proficiently
- Maintains tracking database
- Provide support with the development of technical data packages, technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, component drawings.
- Research data, interpret engineering drawings and documents, write equipment/software descriptions and theory of operation
- Create maintenance/operation/system admin procedures, editing materials
- Conduct customer reviews and incorporate review comments
- Make customer hard and soft-copy deliveries.
Qualifications: Must be able to read and interpret Level III engineering drawings for conversion into TO compatible line drawings. Must be able to convert halftones (photographs) into line drawing and prepare exploded views of equipment to be used in parts breakdowns and for disassembly/assembly instructions. Must also be able to interpret sketches from engineers and convert to T.O. illustrations.
Education and/or Experience: Must have experience using Framemaker, Pagemaker, Larson Conversion Software. Must also be proficient in graphics design management software to include AutoCAD, Illustrator, CGM Conversion Software. Must be experienced in the preparation of all types of illustrations for Air Force technical manuals. Must be experienced with MIL STD 38784, MIL STD 38807, MIL PRF 7700.
Physical Demands/ Work Environment: Regularly required to sit, stand and move about facility. Some bending and light lifting may be required. Works in an office and manufacturing environment.
