Reduced Oxygen Breathing Device (ROBD)

In collaboration with Naval Aeromedical Research Laboratory (NAMRL), EJM is currently developing both a portable and fixed reduced oxygen breathing device (ROBD). The ROBD will serve as a training device allowing pilots to experience Hypoxia without a trip to an altitude chamber. Through the use of integrated software this device can also create the fatigued condition (Non-Hypoxia) experienced by pilots on long flights. This device will prove beneficial to both civilian and military pilots.

Weight Reduction

Reducing weight in aircraft or other applications is one of our specialties. We have had significant success in this area due to our constant research of new materials and "smart designs". We have successfully removed thousands of pounds from aircraft equipment rack structures using a proprietary carbon fiber process to fabricate lightweight replacement racks.

Explosion and Fire Mitigation

One of our most exciting areas of research is explosion and fire mitigation. In collaboration with other partners we are developing designs and materials that will significantly reduce the effects of explosions and damage from fire. Recent catastrophic events highlight the significant impact that this development effort will have on Homeland Security efforts. Additionally, we are researching ways to prevent reoccurance of other tragedies such as Flight 800.
